Lannette Johnson is a Denver area wife, mother, and freelance writer.  She was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in April 2006, but believes she suffered from FM for many years before that.  She is an Oklahoma City bombing survivor, and a survivor of rape and domestic violence.

Lannette was chosen from over 160 applicants to attend the National Fibromyalgia Association's (NFA) 2008 International Leaders Against Pain (ILAP) Conference in Warrenton, Virginia.  While at the ILAP conference, Lannette had the opportunity to network with other FM support group leaders, and learned valuable advocacy, public relations and media skills.  She joined 60 other men and women from 14 countries, including the United States, Canada, Israel, France, the Netherlands, and Costa Rica.

Lannette has two sons - one is 19 and attends the Art Institute in Denver, and the other is 13 and still living at home.  Her sons and her husband are very supportive of her FM advocacy, and encouraged her to found the Colorado Fibromyalgia Network as a way to bring other FM sufferers and their families together for information, fellowship and support.
