Colorado Capital Conference Update

We received more information today about the Colorado Capital Conference trip to Washington, D.C. that we announced a few days ago.  Included in the new information is an agenda, public tour information, and contact information for Senator Udall's office.  You can read more on the Colorado Capital Conference web page.

During the two business days that Lannette will be attending the conference, she will participate in three concentrated sessions in the Capitol Visitor Center and Hart Senate Office Building.  These sessions alone will comprise more than eight hours of contact with Washington officials, not counting any outside interaction.  In addition, she will attend lunches and dinners at the Library of Congress, Hyatt Regency Washington, and Russell Senate Office Building.

This is an incredible opportunity for Lannette, but it's an even greater opportunity for fibromyalgia patients.  As a leader in the fibromyalgia community, Lannette has the opportunity to bring your voices with her to Capitol Hill.  Now is your opportunity to let your Colorado legislators know how important fibromyalgia research and funding are.  Feel free to e-mail us via the Contact link above, or add comments below and let Lannette know what you think she should tell our lawmakers.

We have received a few donations toward the cost of this trip, and we greatly appreciate those donations.  However, we are still only a little more than halfway to our goal of $2,000 for the trip, which includes the cost of air fare, lodging, incidental food, and the conference registration fee.  We now have less than a month to collect about $900, and we need your help, even if it's only $5.  Please click the Donate button on the right side of this page to share what you can, and we will acknowledge your contribution on the Fundraising page, unless you wish to remain anonymous.

The Colorado Fibromyalgia Network is a registered Colorado charitable organization.  You can see our credentials on the Colorado Secretary of State website.  All donations are processed securely through Paypal, but a Paypal account is not required for donations; credit card donations are also welcome.
