Fundraising

Welcome to the Colorado Capital Conference Fundraising Page!

On this page, we will list the names of individuals and/or organizations that have contributed to our Washington, DC trip.

For more information about the Colorado Capital Conference, please visit the Mesa State College website or download the following press release: Colorado Capital Conference.  (This is a PDF file, so you might want to right-click and download it to your hard drive for later viewing.)

This is an opportunity for Lannette to use her International Leaders Against Pain training to approach Colorado legislators and members of the President's Cabinet and stress the importance of continuing research into fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and other overlapping conditions.  In addition, she will identify and discuss key pieces of legislation currently before Congress that relate to chronic pain, both in Colorado and nationally.

To the right, you can see our fundraising thermometer graph.  We have contributed and raised just over half the money we need for this trip, and we only have a little over a month left to come up with the remainder of the costs.  Please consider donating, as the people and organizations below have done, and let us know what you think is the most important political or legislative issue facing patients with chronic pain today.

We extend a hearty "Thank You" to our sponsors below.

Without you, this trip would not be possible.

ONWARD and UPWARD Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia Network
This is our sister organization in Grand County, Colorado.
Founder Maureen Helm is doing great work in the mountains,
and we greatly appreciate the support of her organization.

Kerrdwyn's Threads of Los Alamos, NM
Come join the lads and lasses around the campfire, where fresh mead flows,
food is plenty, and dancers show off their finest new clothes!
Original art flickers in the firelight.  It's all to be found at Kerrdwyn's place.

Loving More
Loving More is a national non-profit organization dedicated to increasing
education and awareness of polyamory, polyamorous issues, and non-traditional
relationships since 1985.  The organization regularly sponsors relationship seminars
on both coasts and recently hosted the successful Loving Choices seminar in Denver.

Sore No More!
Sore No More!, maker of a Natural Pain Relieving Gel, has donated to the
Colorado Fibromyalgia Network before, and as always, we greatly appreciate their help.
A number of our members have used Sore No More! and reported that it works well to
soothe pain; no one has said anything negative about the product.  Sore No More! contains
no animal by-products, is not tested on animals, and is fragrance and alcohol free.  We'll use
the cash donation for the trip, and use the full-sized jars of Sore No More! as door prizes for
our next support group meeting.  Big thank you!

Anonymous
We also appreciate the donations from anonymous people and those who preferred
that their names were withheld.  We respect their wishes to remain anonymous,
and we wish to acknowledge and thank those donors, as well.
